Site of the only Revolutionary War battle to take place in Vermont, Hubbardton Vermont retains the air of a town steeped in history. Annual commemoration for the event occurs in July at the Battlefield Site on Monument Hill Road in town, with a full authentic reenactment. The town of Hubbardton sits on the northern end of Lake Bomoseen, a popular destination for lake activities like swimming, canoeing, and boating.
