Barnard Vermont is a small town located just north of Woodstock Vermont. The town’s most notable feature is Silver Lake and Silver Lake State Park, a campground and recreation spot with fishing, swimming, and canoeing for the outdoor adventurer. Wintertime fun on the frozen lake includes ice fishing and ice skating. The main thoroughfare is RT 12, where the hiking type can find easy access to the Appalachian Trail; there are also plenty of country roads meandering through the town’s rural landscape. The nearby Twin Farms resort offers four seasons of activities and seven ski slopes.
